This is a feature already available with HTC Sense 3. Tilt- Zoom is another neat feature introduced with TouchWiz 4. To Zoom-in an image users can tilt the phone up and to zoom-out the image users can tilt the phone down. As a result all benefits of Honeycomb are available for the users.
All hardware buttons such as Home, Back buttons are removed and replaced by buttons on the screen. The Home screen is available in multiple screens and they can be navigated via hand gestures such as swiping left and right. The widgets in Home screen will rotate as the device is rotated to fit the orientation, and most importantly they are customizable. Users may customize their location on screen, size and etc.
Another useful feature available with TouchWiz user interface with Android devices is the ability to turn off the TouchWiz user interface and use the default user interface. HTC Sense is designed with a user centric principal in mind. Today plugin is one of the key components of HTC Sense. HTC sense 3. These innovative features include over viewing your drive, Flip to silence, a map with a compass, an innovative directions feature, a zero wait navigation system, a unique ringing feature and more.
People tab is the contacts application of HTC Sense. The design of HTC has given much priority to enhance the navigation experience of the user. Pre view your drive is a cool feature provided for users while they are driving. When users are on the move they can see what the turns ahead are and junctions ahead, simply with a click of a button.
The phone automatically recognizes the current location and shows the drive ahead. Another interesting navigation feature is a map with a compass.
Swipe right to the ALL screen. Find and tap Touchwiz Home. Tap Clear cache. Tap Clear data, then OK. To access this setting, simply perform the following steps: Open the Settings application. Multitasking fiends will likely appreciate HTC's paired-down approach better. Sense 5 has a lot more in common with stock Android when it comes to settings. While Samsung has organized settings into several taps that can only be accessed by clicking on the top bar of the screen, Sense 5 makes much more…sense.
As I'm sure you're by now aware, Samsung's Touchwiz is the undisputed king when it comes to extra functions. Here you can find a list of all the features baked into Touchwiz. There isn't a clear winner here. While HTC's Sense 5 offers a clean and coherent overall look, Touchwiz offers numerous bells and whistles whether or not they're of use to you is another question. HTC's look is generally more streamlined, but Samsung allows users to access a ton of features quickly and easily.
HTC Sense is my personal choice over Touchwiz. For some reason I don't like Samsung's Touchwiz. HTC sense impressed me a lot since the begining of it's launch I especially love the widgets, the lock screen personalization etc. I always found HTC to be quiet smooth and fast.
So my personal vote for HTC Sense. Dvoraak I dont think they would have made the S4 the way it is if they didnt notice the design competition. Like I said, it's a gorgeous phone, especially the Black Mist, and I'm sure there are lots like me who think the same.
And yes, I agree that Sammy made settings easier for us by categorizing it. Some people are too offended at not being able to swipe to notice that:P lol. The hardware? Not so much. The large majority is more interested in features and software than hardware. So why is it so popular?
